The Health Ministry Nurse works with the Pastor and is responsible for promoting and integrating whole health ministry which includes body, mind, and spirit. She finds creative ways to promote health/wellness in the congregation and in the community through outreach. At Cornerstone our health ministry nurse works as an integrator of faith and health, health educator, personal health counselor, referral agent, developer of support groups, trainer of volunteers, and health advocate. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
The purpose of health ministry is to help the faith community care for one another, attaining, maintaining, or regaining the best possible ‘whole’ person health – body, mind, and spirit.
